53rd Araw ng Kutabato culminates with its socio-civic and military parade


Thousand of Cotabatenos participated in the socio-civic and military parade. It was a very colourful event for the culmination of the week long celebration of the 53rd Araw ng Kutabato. The participants from the city government officials and employees, barangay officials, the members and officers of the Sangguniang Kabataan, Philippine National Police, 6th infantry (Kampilan) Division Philippine Army, the Philippine Marines, representative from the different line agencies, partners in the private sector, members of the academe and students from different schools in the city, and several other clubs and organizations assembled at the Cotabato City State Polytecnic College campus ground at around 5:30 am and march along Sinsuat Avenue going to the newly renovated Cotabato City Plaza on June 20, 2012.  


The mayor of Cotabato City, Hon. Japal J. Guani, said in his speech, his only wish for his constituents is to stay as united and live harmoniously, to be more productive and help maintain the state of being the first class city, he also added that he has done all his power as the executive to make the most joyous celebration for all the Cotabatenos.  

There was a short program after the parade prepared by the local government. The program includes some song and dance number. Awarding ceremony for the sports fest was also held during the program.
